Publisher - Applying Text To My DPS

Applying The Text

This shows how I used the software, PUBLISHER to add text to my DPS. I used columns, a drop cap and I deleted hyphenated words.

This shows me applying the text on top of my DPS in Publisher. This software allowed me to change the position of my text and place them in columns. It took me 4 attempts because I wanted to change the position of the artists name and change the layout of my text. I am still going to change this though because I don't like the placement of the caption.

Attempt 1:

My first attempt shows me getting used to the software and beginning to apply columns. I left a large gap from the heading to the text because I thought of adding in an extra image.

Attempt 2:

I then added a space within my first column, this because I could then add a pull quote. I also added an album and a small caption on what the album was and where you can get it from.

Attempt 3:

During this attempt I changed the position of the artists name and added a caption. I also increased the amount of text within the blank space as I decided I no longer wanted to add in an extra image.

Attempt 4:

For my final attempt I changed the heading back to its original location but changed the placement of the caption.

Applying Text To My DPS

Different Ways I Applied DPS Text

The Aim
I wanted to apply some text (an article) on top of my DPS. To achieve this I used three different types of software, these are:
-Publisher
-Microsoft Office Word

Publisher

I chose to write my text in PUBLISHER because this allowed me to paste my text straight on top of my DPS. Also it allowed me to use drop caps and delete hyphenated words. This software also has the feature to add columns which is useful.

Microsoft Office Word

At first I chose to write my text in WORD, because this is a software I am familiar working with. Also it allowed me to spell check my work, use drop caps and change the font styles. However I needed to use Publisher in order to add my text onto the image o  my DPS.

This shows me using a drop cap in WORD. The reason I included a drop cap is because this is a convention of a DPS.
